Thanks to the support of my loving family, friends, Carla's family and my own deep personal fortitude, I've been picking up some of the jagged pieces of a shattered life following the death of my beloved companion Carla.
Thank you for your warm messages of condolence and support in what has been the most painful period of my life. The outpouring of heartfelt love and compassion for Carla has been truly touching. We who loved her must remain strong and forge onward, respectively learning from this tragic loss and living courageously for brighter days ahead.
Carla and I did not believe in an afterlife and so she returns in body to her special birthplace to peacefully rest, her struggle finally over. Her lifeforce now resides in spirit only with those of us who adored and cherished her... and always lovingly remembered Carla shall be forevermore.
